GOVERNOR MOVES TO NEW COMPLEX

State Government has finally moved its seat of power to the new ultra-modern
Government House complex along shendam road, Lafia.
Already, the State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu and his family have
moved into the multi-million Naira office complex that also serves as residence
for the first family. Government
House sources report that most principal officers including the Permanent
Secretary, Webmaster, Directors and other key officers have fully moved or were
in the process of moving to the new office which is about three kilometers from
the town.
The
situation in the new Government house since the movement has been business-like
with increasing number of people coming in either for official, private or
sightseeing purposes. Among the
early callers to the new Government House was the Speaker of the State House of
Assembly, the State Chairman of the ruling Party, PDP, as well as other top
Government functionaries. Top among
the early events that took place at the new office was the State’s Executive
Council meeting, which was held at the conference hall of the complex.
Already,
the complex is fitted with the necessary basic requirements such as
Air-conditioners, electric gadgets as well as furniture and other basic
equipment befitting the complex, which is described as an architectural
masterpiece.
The
new Government House which is described as a masterpiece consists of office and
residential house building; two 3-bedroom guest houses, a clinic and four sets
2-bedroom domestic staff quarters. Also
in the complex is a tennis court and swimming pool.
