GOV. ADAMU VISITS MINISTER OF WORKS AND HOUSING ON STATE OF
ROADS IN NASARAWA STATE
The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Adamu has restated his
determination to push for the completion of all Federal roads in the State.
He gave this indication while on a visit to the Honourable
Minister for Works and Housing, Chief B. Tony Anenih. The Governor during the
visit expressed dissatisfaction over the deplorable condition of Federal
Government owned roads in the State, which he attributed to long years of
neglect by previous administrations.
He said the present state of the roads was causing his people
immeasurable hardship and said the immediate construction of the roads would go
a long way in alleviating the suffering of the people of Nasarawa State and also
all travellers on those routes.
In response to the Governor’s request, Chief Anenih said
that the Federal Government would commence immediate repairs of all Federal
roads in the State, namely Nasarawa – Loko, and the dualisation of the Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga
road which were abandoned many years ago by previous administrations. The
Minister also promised to come personally to the State to supervise the roads in
question.
