Governor of Nasarawa State Abdullahi Sule has called on the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu to use the period before the 2023 general election to calm nerves and to pacify aggrieved members of the party.

The governor made the call when he hosted the first executive governor of the state and national chairman of the APC, in Lafia when he Sallah homage/condolence visit, at the Government House, Lafia.

The governor said pacifying the aggrieved members became imperative so that the party will go into the 2023 general election united and in peace.

He called on the APC national chairman to use his experience to douse the growing tension within the party, especially in the wake of the recently concluded party primaries, which led to some members of the party defecting to other political parties.

“Is only eight months to election and we can use the opportunity to calm nerves and all those who have been hurt during the party primaries.

“With the governorship and House of Assembly elections, we will do everything possible to maintain what is right,” he said.

Responding, Chairman Adamu said he will use his experience in politics to unite the party towards winning the 2023 general election. He assured that the party was confident of winning the elections even though the opposition was doing all within it limited powers to displace the APC.
