The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator (Dr.) Abdullahi Adamu (CON) Turakin Keffi, has commended the organization of the last special elective convention of the Party. Adamu stated this while receiving the report of the media and publicity committee of the convention at the national secretariat of the party.

The Chairman said he was excited with the work of the committee because the June 6-8 2022 convention was adjudged to be the best ever by the APC or indeed, any political party in Nigeria. He commended the work of the publicity committee which enabled the convention to be viewed by audiences across the world.

Senator Adamu stated that while some other committees had already submitted their reports, none of them was as detailed as the publicity committee. The interesting about the report of the committee is that they returned unspent money to the party. This showed the quality of the leadership of the committee and their transparency.

Earlier, the chairman of the Committee and Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. A. A. Sule reported that the committee was inaugurated on 5th June 2022 to ensure both pre- and post-convention media coverage. He stated that the 56-member committee included many media personalities who brought their experience to bear in the course of the assignment.

Governor Sule said the publicity given to the convention was responsible for its peaceful and smooth conduct, beating all the expectations of the nay-sayers who thought the party will implode after the convention. He therefore thanked the party leadership for the support given to the committee to execute its assignment.

In attendance at the submission of the Committee report were the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, other members of the National Working Committee of the Party as well as some members of the media and publicity Committee.
