Sen Adamu faults FG’s Anchor Borrower handlers at agric show

Thousands of farmers, processors, technology developers and agro entrepreneurs graced this year’s national agricultural show holding at kilometers 28, Abuja -Keffi expressway.

At the opening ceremony yesterday, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the convener of the show, while acknowledging the Buhari’s administration strides on agriculture, however faulted the administration of the Anchor Borrower Programme (ABP) by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Sen. Adamu urges farmers to take advantage of border closure

Senator Abdullahi Adamu (APC, Nasarawa West) on Wednesday called on farmers to take full advantage of the present border closure to enhance the production of food in the country.

The Senator made the call while delivering his welcome speech at the 12th Annual Agriculture Show in Karu Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State.

Senator Adamu challenges journalists, tasks them on improvement

Senator Abdullahi Adamu has challenged journalists to move from the traditional stagnated mode of journalism to a more professional method of journalism.
Adamu threw the challenge when NTA press crew visited him at his Keffi residence to conduct an interview in advance of the upcoming 59th independence anniversary which is just around the corner.

Senator Adamu lamented the gross naivety exhibited by most journalists who have made it a tradition of asking questions like: what is your dream..., what progress have we achieved... and so on in a manner which depicts the old sterilized fashion of journalism.

Senator Adamu calls on manufacturers to maintain standards

 

Senator Abdullahi Adamu has on Wednesday called on manufacturers of goods to maintain the highest quality standards for their products. He made this call while visiting the newly established TY-FIYATA factory in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

The manufacturing company which specializes in plastics recycling is owned by a group of Chinese investors who recycle  waste plastics into polythene sacks, bags & threads, etc.

Senator Adamu Congratulates President Buhari, Calls On Atiku To Accept Verdict In Good Faith

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, (APC, Nasarawa West), has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy Professor Yemi Osinbajo on their victory at the Electoral Tribunal which sat in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. The Tribunal affirmed their victory at the February 23, Presidential Election. Senator Adamu also urged the opposition to come to terms with the decision of the Tribunal and join hands with the president to move Nigeria forward. In a press statement congratulating President Buhari, he said:  
 
“I, Senator (Dr.) Abdullahi Adamu, CON, Turakin Keffi, on behalf of my family, my associates, and all members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in my constituency hereby facilitate with our Leader President  Buhari, GCFR, on his well-deserved victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. Mr. President, your victory at the Tribunal yesterday is a clear testimony of the overwhelming mandate given to you by Nigerians in the Presidential election of February 23, 2019. Those of us who are your admirers savor this affirmation by the Tribunal so much, and we are filled with immense joy. I therefore use this opportunity to congratulate you, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, our National Chairman and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the APC, as well as all other well-meaning citizens of our great country at home and abroad.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu condemns xenophobia in south africa, calls for restraint

Senator Dr. Abdullahi Adamu (APC, Nasarawa West Senatorial District) has condemned the recent attacks on foreign nationals resident in South Africa by citizens of that country. The Distinguished Senator made the condemnation in the wake of public disenchantment over what is clearly a reprehensible behavior by the South Africans against their brother Africans.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who is Senate Committee Chair on Agriculture said, “the xenophobic actions by South African nationals against Nigerians and other Africans is totally unacceptable and condemnable". He reiterated the fact that Nigerians do not deserve to be maltreated by their South African brothers after the heavy sacrifices and contributions which the Nigerian government and her people did for them during their struggle against apartheid minority rule.
